Wyoming Erie Regional Emergency Medical Services Scholarship
The EMS scholarship is an annual scholarship and is awarded to one individual each school year. This scholarship will cover the balance of tuition after TAP/Pell and NYS EMS reimbursement. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Complete applications for the Erie Community College and the Paramedic program. (The application is available through the EMT department at ECC/South campus)
- Complete the admissions process, including pre-testing, and be accepted as a matriculated student
- Complete the financial aid application process
- Maintain and 80% average and remain in good standing throughout the program
- Have a minimum of three (3) years active service as a NYS certified fire and/or EMS unit in Erie or Wyoming County
- Have no other funding source beyond TAP/Pell
- A minimum grade of 80 on your last certification exam
- Submit letters of recommendation from your unit's chief officer and ALS officer
Certified Lab Instructor (CLI) Course and Pre-Screening
CLI Course Dates - April 16, 17 & 24 (location TBA)
Prescreening in Erie County January 30th (location TBA)
Prescreening in Wyoming County, February (location TBA)
